Hand Quilted Vintage Mid Blue Chore Jacket
This warm one of a kind quilted jacket is remade by hand from repurposed vintage and second hand textiles.
Completely un-made to be re-made, a vintage mid blue chore jacket has been used for the outer shell of this jacket. This piece shows some age related wear around cuffs and edges from fading which adds to its charm. The buttons and buttonholes have all been kept as original.
It features a machine quilted outer layer with interlining that sandwiches a layer of fine, but warm, autumn weight cotton wadding. There are 2 buttoned chest pockets and 2 hip pockets, each individually hand quilted and lined.
A couple of hand sewn on patch repairs have been complete to strengthen some worn areas. The piece is finished by an all over hand quilted cross stitch using a fine off white cotton embroidery thread, a process which take many hours to complete.
The lining has been cut from a thickly woven surplus army blanket that is brushed on the inside giving the jacket an extra layer of warmth. The lining includes 2 interior patch pockets and as always, the garment is stamped to show it is a repurposed item.

Care
Spot treat stains, hand wash this piece at a low temperature and dry flat.
